Important Test Day Reminders:

• These tests count up to 25% of the student’s final grade and can determine if your child qualifies to remain in the virtual program. Students must show adequate growth and progress each year to remain in the virtual program. Please encourage your child to do their very best.

• Do not miss the test! Doing so will be grounds for dismissal from HCVA. These tests are required by law.

• Do not be late for pick up or arrival! The test schedule is tight and all students must be in their seat ready to test at the start time.

• Parents must be at the school to pick up their student at the posted time each day. Do not be late!

• Make sure Skyward is up to date with emergency phone numbers and authorized pick up designees.

• No cell phones allowed to be powered on during testing. Phones must be powered off. Students may bring a cell phone but it will be collected by a teacher and returned after the test session ends.

• Students may bring a bottled water and snack to have after or between test sessions.

• All middle and high school students must bring their Chromebook fully charged each test day as well as the charging cord.

• All elementary tests are paper based. We will provide pencils. However, if your child has a favorite #2 pencil or eraser they may bring it each day.

• Dress in layers or bring a light jacket/sweatshirt in case the room is too cold.

• Get plenty of rest the night before, have a healthy breakfast and come prepared to do your best!
