Academic Feather: We’re in the midst of our EOC testing for the semester, but juniors, don’t forget that the junior ACT is just a few months away. This is a great time to start studying and preparing. ACT.org has a lot of good free materials and practice tests, as does the blog PrepScholar.

If you are interested in auditioning for a singing solo or speaking role in this year’s Spring Musical/ Stage Show: A Night at the Movies!, please sign up for an audition time on Mrs. Woods’ door at room 601 by this Friday Dec. 12th. If you missed the meeting last Friday, please see Mrs. Woods with any questions. Auditions will be the first week of school in January.
Afternoon Detention will also be held tomorrow, December 9 from 2:50-3:10 PM. Morning Detention will be held on Wednesday December 10 from 7:15-7:35 AM Remember, failure to serve your detention will result in an office referral.
Today we begin EOC testing in Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry. Good luck to those of you testing! - Remember to believe in your math abilities! Even π(pie) isn’t perfect, and it’s still awesome!

If you’re in Mrs. Diana Johnson, Mrs. Hughes, or Ms. Holly Helton’s 4th period, you will eat 2nd lunch instead of 1st lunch today, tmrw, and Thursday.
This Friday is Ugly Christmas Sweater day
It’s Mobuck Monday and we have some catching up to do. The winners from the week before Thanksgiving break, which includes the Monday and Tuesday before, are: Freshman: Laci Shiply, Sophomore: Christian Cameron, Junior: Kaitlyn Jones, and no seniors. Staff winner is Kristin Reid. Winners from last week are: Freshman: Levi Warren, no sophomores or juniors, and Senior: Isabella Price. Staff winner is Amanda Heaps. Totals have freshmen in the lead with 240, seniors second with 92, juniors 3rd with 79 and sophomores bringing up the rear with 63. Congratulations to all and your prizes will be delivered later this week.
Any student interested in playing Tennis this year, please plan to meet in Room 303 Tuesday after school for an informational meeting. If you can’t attend talk to Coach Day or Coach Trivvette
Upward Bound: All students we currently still have 3 spots left this semester. If you are interested in joining, come to the Upward Bound office to get an application, and to current members remember our Christmas trip is this Saturday! There is a prize for the first 5 who show up so be quick!!
