Tickets are now on sale for the Valentines Dance that will be held Feb. 22 in the CHS commons. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in the commons before school and during lunch. The dance is sponsored by Key Club, and funds raised benefit Ronald McDonald House and other charities.
Afternoon Detention will be held today from 3:05-3:35 PM in Room 210. Morning Detention will be held on Wednesday from 7:15-7:45 AM.

Seniors - there is a $1000 scholarship available to students who have completed a CTE focus area, have at least a 2.5 GPA, and no major discipline referrals. Applications are due Feb 27. See Amy Lee in guidance for more information
Keetoowah Yearbook Sales Blitz Feb 19-21!
The Publishing Club presents The Sequoyah Award – an award for the best photos, art, stories, poems, music, and more. There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for the top creative works with prizes. They will be accepting works until April 30th. Please send your submissions to bigideaslittletown@gmail.com to be considered. All other submissions that are accepted but do not place will be published in the online magazine. See Ms. Reid or Mrs. Seals for more details.
The Junior- Senior Prom is Saturday, April 12 from 7:00 to 11:00pm at Meadowview Convention Center in Kingsport. The theme is ‘Rog Vegas” The song is “Blame It on the Rain” by Milli Vanilli. Tickets will be $25 and will go on sale from March 24 until April 11. Tickets will be sold during all lunches. Your lunch account must be paid off in order to buy a ticket. There will be an application to fill out if your date doesn’t attend Cherokee. Early graduates do not need an application. There will be a google form link coming soon to see if anyone would be interested in bus transportation.
Softball practice will be until 4:00pm due to facility limitations. Practice will take place at the baseball hitting facility after school.
Great job by our boys and girls basketball teams last night getting wins at Claiborne county. Tonight is the last home game of the season vs Grainger. Lots of things happening this evening for the game. On3 sports along with national guard will be here with interactive events, give aways and other events before recognizing the football team. Come out and support your Chiefs and Lady Chiefs basketball teams! Remember, ALL spectators must enter the gym lobby entrance.
