Academic Feather: Juniors! The ACT is exactly one month away. Now is the time for drilling and practicing. If this will be your first ACT, the best thing you can do to prepare is to get familiar with the test format and do some practice. There are lots of materials available on ACT.org, and be sure to ask your teachers for their recommended materials!

The Junior/ Senior prom is April 18 at Meadowview Convention Center in Kingsport from 7:00-11:00 pm. The theme is ‘The Chiefs Gala’. The colors are Black, Red and Gold. The song is ‘Baby Come Back’ by Player. The tickets will be $30 for students from Cherokee and $55 for your date if they don’t attend Cherokee. The $30 ticket includes virtual students in Hawkins County Schools, early grads and homebound students from Cherokee. You must have a zero balance on your cafeteria account to purchase your ticket. Tickets will be sold during your lunch beginning Friday, March 27. Prom date forms for students that don’t attend Cherokee will be available soon.
The 300’s Student Lounge is not an extension of the Commons Area. The only students who should be in the lounge are students who are enrolled in a Dual Enrollment class, and absolutely no students should be eating their lunch in the lounge area.
