Tennessee Risk Management (TNRMT) Trust has awarded the Hawkins County Schools’ Child Nutrition Department a safety grant in the amount of $3218.44. The Child Nutrition was one of (41) forty-one recipients to receive grants. The Child Nutrition department will be purchasing various safety equipment to enhance their program and protect the health of employees. “Making our employees aware of the proper techniques and providing equipment to assure safety is of utmost importance. We are grateful to TNRMT for helping us with this project,” stated Mandy Kenner, Director of Child Nutrition. Last year, Hawkins County Schools also received $5516.00 to update lighting for some of its buildings. “We appreciate TNRMT for making these opportunities available to our district,” shared Debbi Pressnell, HCS Grant Writer.
