Carters Valley Elementary School was recently awarded a $1500 grant from the TVA John Sevier Plant.
This is the second year that the plant has helped fulfill a need for the school. The school plans to use the funds for gymnasium improvements. Attendance Supervisor and former CVES Principal Cody Sauceman stated, “There are few funds available for playground or gymnasium updates and this means the world to our students.” “Community partners like the John Sevier Plant have no idea what an impact they have on schools like Carters Valley. Our students get excited about anything new,” shared new Principal Carrie Griffith. The students of CVES send a special thank you message to all those at the TVA John Sevier Plant!
