Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK)
The Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) program has four classrooms in Hawkins County. VPK is designed to provide four-year-old children of Hawkins County with essential skills for success in kindergarten and beyond. The program serves children who will be 4 years of age on or before August 16, 2019.
Important: For the 2024-25 school year, children's birthdays must fall between August 16, 2019, and August 15, 2020. Click here to receive information for registration for the 24-25 school year.
Spaces are limited and income qualifications apply. Once school begins, all spots may be full. However, applications are accepted for the waiting list.
Applications for the upcoming year will be available in March. Families will be informed in late spring or early summer about acceptance or waitlist status.
